This week I met the creator of a really beautiful and super unique creative project called ‘Inside the Linez‘.

Sharni found me online and after a brief telephone conversation jumped in her car and came down to meet me after my beachside meditation class (still running each Wednesday at 5 pm on the Sandringham Foreshore) .. and hand-delivered a copy of this truly beautiful + artist quality art-pad.

Inspired during the 2020 lockdown to get creative herself, Sharni reached out to a group of emerging and established artists and invited them to collaborate on the creation of this interactive art experiment. The result is a unique colouring book of 30 line-drawings, printed on artist quality art-pad paper.

“venture inside the world of the artist, the linez on the page, and the songs in the playlist to experience the joy that comes from interactive self-expression.”

This beautifully presented collection of 30 line drawings come from artists living across the world, and each artist has been inspired by a favourite cover song which is linked to each artwork.

Sharni said her intention was to:

‘inspire people to colour more and worry less’

Plus 100% of donations goes to the artists .. which is itself a beautiful gift after such a challenging year.

Armed with your paint, watercolour set, pencils, or markers, with the artists musical inspiration in the background, you can become the Colourist and mindfully co-create a unique artwork to hang on your wall or gift to a friend.

So this morning I opened my art-pad and this will be my creative project for today:

Artist: Jessica Singh
Song: You’ve Got The Love by Florence and the Machine
