I have long had a secret (.. not really a secret) obsession with candles and incense and oils.
As a teenager, I burnt nag champa, as a University student I studied oils and developed my own blends .. last year I met with a lovely artisan candle maker at a regional market, and the birth of our Meditative Candles began.
My favourite two scents are now hand crafted candles. I light these when I meditate, to soften the energy in the house, or in a meditation class.

Chai Tea
Wonderfully spicy and incredibly sweet, this warm aroma combines rich notes of Cardamom, Clove and Cinnamon, with the creamy hints of Vanilla and Honey. Three typical ingredients in India spiced tea, masala chai, and also found in Ayurvedic medicine. Considered mood uplifting, known to relieve fatigue and good for mental clarity and memory improvement.
Frankincense & Myrrh
Romantic and mysterious, an exotic blend of cinnamon & clove spice, precious woods of sandalwood and amyris and a sweet citrus and musk finish. Myrrh and Frankincense have had spiritual significance since ancient times, and have also been adopted as medicine. These two ancient scents are revered for their powerfully uplifting and clarifying effects for the body and mind, are often used before and during meditation and yoga, and are renowned for supporting spiritual awareness, tranquility, peacefulness and protection.
