Have you every thought about becoming a meditation teacher?

*Meditation Teacher Training*

This week I was thrilled to see one of my Seasonal Lounge community take the step to become a meditation teacher.⁣⁣ Such a worthy path .. and one that takes an extra dose of passion for meditation, courage and true desire to bring this ‘life tool’ to others.⁣⁣

My own journey from meditator to meditation teacher was a long one. I was a happy and engaged meditator for 25+ years before I had even the smallest glimmer of thought about becoming a teacher. My meditation journey started in a very traditional Buddhist setting, so the idea of being a ‘teacher’ seemed unattainable and far fetched. But over the years and after many twists and turns, I found myself on a retreat in Bali .. sitting in the meditation hut overlooking the rice paddy fields (sounds totally cliche but it’s true) and then I had a thought that the greatest gift I had to share .. was my passion for meditation

It was not long after that, that I met Sarah McLean .. and so was the start of a wondrous journey, that continues to inspire and nourish me.

In 2015, I completed the McLean Meditation Institute’s Meditation and Mindfulness teacher training at the Meditation Teacher Academy. Life-changing stuff. This teacher training is a real commitment … a mix of online self-paced learning and a seven-day intensive retreat (I did mine in Sedona amongst the majestic red hills but there are various locations available) .. 200+ hours of training.⁣⁣

Some students are called to become meditation teachers .. some students are simply walking their own path and wanting to expand their learning and personal practice.⁣⁣
