The Way of Early Summer

$108.00

The Way of Early Summer is a five-week exploration of mindful movement, breath and meditation inspired by the wisdom of Early Summer, a season of high yang energy — expansive, active and radiant, but which can also be depleting.

Through gentle qigong-inspired movement, standing meditation and guided mindfulness, we’ll explore how to harness, move and store this energy, while also recognising the importance of stillness, rest and pause so we don’t overextend ourselves. It’s an invitation to work with the natural rhythm of the season … embracing its vitality and warmth, while creating space to settle, replenish and recuperate.

Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike, this seasonal series invites you to slow down, reconnect with yourself and find a more balanced relationship with the energy of Early Summer.

The Way of Early Summer | 5-Week Online Course

A journey through mindful movement, qigong, breath and meditation.

Many of us spend so much of our lives in our heads.

We think, plan, organise and respond. When we finally sit down to meditate, we can discover that the mind is still racing and the body is carrying the imprint of a busy day.

This is where mindful movement can offer something valuable.

By bringing awareness into the body, we begin to reconnect with the present moment. We notice sensations, breath and balance. We create a little more space.

The movement itself is not the destination.

It is the doorway.

Through gentle qigong-inspired practices, standing meditation and seated mindfulness, we explore the journey from movement into stillness.

Over five weeks, we shall gentle weave together:

Mindful movement. Simple qigong-inspired movements to awaken body awareness and create a sense of ease.

Breath awareness. Exploring the breath as an anchor for presence and a pathway into settling.

Standing meditation. Practices that help us experience grounding, balance and our relationship with the earth.

Seated meditation. Returning to the practice that has always been at the heart of Quiet Mind.

Rather than focusing on learning a sequence perfectly, we will explore through experience.

What do I notice?
What changes when I slow down?
What happens when I listen more closely?
