A Quiet Mind: Winter
Let this season quiet your days.
Let your mind soften like falling light.
Move slowly.
Breathe deeply.
Honour the dark.
Celebrate the sky when it turns blue …
knowing sunshine lives above the clouds.
Light a candle.
Cocoon yourself in warmth.
Bring quiet care to daily things.
Rest is not laziness.
It is how we root more deeply,
gather strength in stillness,
and prepare gently for all that will
soon bloom.
The seasons are wise teachers, if we’re willing to listen.
The past few weeks … ok, honestly, months … have felt like a whirlwind. A heavy load. Days melding. Full of tasks and responsibilities, unexpected challenges, and, if I’m getting real… a little burnout. Even with my daily meditation practice.
Some days I didn’t make it to the cushion. Instead, I relied on small moments of presence, a pause at the sink, a deep breath between appointments, rather than those deeper, nourishing dives.
And I’ve had to remind myself: that’s okay.
I’ve had to listen.
Now, as we settle into Winter, there’s a quieter rhythm unfolding. Over at The Meditation Box, our Winter box has been successfully shipped, and for a few weeks, the pace slows. The Spring Box is quietly forming — but it doesn’t need my time just yet.
So I’m listening.
Because Winter is the season for deep listening. A time to take stock, turn inward, and realign with what really matters.

I’ll share more soon … some upcoming classes, musings, and inspiration, in the next Quiet Mind newsletter, landing Sunday 22nd June.
Until then, may you find small moments of stillness, and the wisdom to listen, too.
