Music has the power to instantly change or boost our mood.
Building a ‘go-to’ playlist of beautiful, inspiring and healing music can be a powerful tool for times when we need to calm our emotions or soothe our nervous system.
So what is the most relaxing song in the world?
British neuroscientists conducted a study for Mindlab International and found one song that produced a greater state of relaxation than any other music tested to date.
Listening to the song “Weightless” by Marconi Union resulted in a 65% reduction in participants’ overall anxiety and a 35% reduction in their usual physiological resting rates.
Be aware this week of the music that you are choosing to soundtrack your life .. and the effect this has on your sense of wellbeing and ease.
